PAID ONLINE ADVERTISING: WILL IT INCREASE MY SALES?

Many of us have wondered at some point how to grow our online sales, or why others are selling and I'm not. We have very seriously considered paid online advertising, or we have tried it and didn't get the success we expected.

Digital marketing or online advertising is a strategy that starts with understanding our buyer. In this post, we're going to show you some guidelines and examples so you can better understand paid online advertising.

What is the difference between paid results and organic results?

This category is what you get when you see the results page of a search engine, like Google.

The first 3 results and the ones on the sides are paid ads - websites that paid to appear at the top of the list. But below them, you'll find the first 1-10 unpaid or organic results, which are the most popular and relevant content.

As a marketer and business owner, your goal is to be at the top of the organic results because, let's be honest, most people only click on the first results they see.

60% of all organic clicks go to the top 3 search results.

So how do you get up there? That's where Inbound Marketing and SEO come in. You need to define what your prospects or potential customers are searching for so you can make sure they find your website.

As a result, this leads us to focus on Google searches, on how our customer thinks, that is, when they have a problem or a challenge and start looking for information about it.

Are they looking for a product they don't know yet? Are they looking for the company without even knowing it exists? That's not possible, right? I'm going to show you a clear example so you can see how to do this for your business:

Let's say someone moves into an old house and needs to replace all the outlets.

What would they do to solve this situation on their own? Most likely, they would ask "their question" online in a search engine. And they'll be specific in their search. They might type "How do I install a 3-prong outlet?"

Google receives more than 3 million searches every day from people who have questions and problems they want to solve. So search engines need to provide the most relevant, useful, and trustworthy answers.

To find them, they send out what are known as spiders (web crawlers) to go through every page on the web looking for that content. These spiders try to figure out what each page is about.

Based on this data, they create a list of results that are relevant and useful for the searches. Then, they rank those results based on the popularity and authority of those websites.

"The more visits a website gets, the greater its authority and ranking"

Let's answer the question in the title of this post with a somewhat multifaceted answer. If I pay for online advertising, will my online sales increase?

If you buy online advertising, your sales MAY increase, but NOT as you'd expect. If you build an Inbound Marketing strategy in which you think the same way your prospects or customers think, we're confident your sales WILL increase.
