WHAT ARE KPIs AND HOW DO YOU USE THEM TO MEASURE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN?
Although it isn't so simple to determine the success or impact of your campaign on social media, or simply of your presence and interaction with your followers, it's essential to look for indicators that tell us how to do even better.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are metrics that help us quantify the success of our social media actions. There are plenty of different KPIs you can measure, but which ones are the most important? It's a question you'll need to answer with your company and your goals in mind. Here are some of the most important KPIs:
- Impressions: The number of times our posts appear in our target audience's news feed.
- Reach: The total number of users who have seen a post. One of Facebook's most basic metrics.
- Interactions: Interactions vary across social networks. They're all the actions our audiences take when they see the posts: comments, likes, shares, retweets, repins....
- Engagement: There are many ways to measure engagement, which is about our followers' commitment to our brand and our content.
- Landing page views: How many people do we manage to get to click and go to our website or a specific landing page?
- Conversion rate: The number of people who become leads from social media: In the case of Facebook Lead Ads, for example, this can happen directly on the social network or on your website.
- Brand mentions or "buzz": How many people are interested in your brand and talking about it?
- CPC and CPL: Cost per Click and Cost per Lead. By comparing the number of clicks and leads with your budget, you can see how much it cost you to get a click or a lead.
With these KPIs, you can get a good idea of the performance of your social media actions. Depending on your business, you may find others that are important to you. Keep analyzing and applying whatever benefits you the most.
The goal of KPIs is to measure ROI (Return on Investment), which we talk about in the next blog post, so don't miss it!
