BENEFITS OF SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SAAS)

In previous posts we talked about What Is Software as a Service? and the benefits of software as a service in very general terms.

In this new article we will look at and learn about each of these benefits, explained clearly and precisely, so that we understand not only their benefits but also how the different developers work.

BENEFITS OF SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE

Users do not have to worry about maintenance:

Once the service is contracted, the user does not have to worry about updates or application maintenance. The provider will make sure that improvements are applied to the service. In addition, since the application is hosted on the provider's server, the provider is responsible for data security and backups.

Accessible from anywhere, at any time:

As long as there is Internet access, whether from a computer or a mobile device, users will be able to access their account. That is because these Software as a Service services are always available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is no need to be at the office to access them.

No installation required:

There is nothing to install, unlike desktop programs, because SaaS software and Cloud Computing are in the cloud. Regardless of the operating system you have, all you need is a web browser to connect to the application.

No upfront investment:

Savings on hardware and licenses. Payment works as a rental: you only pay for your use of the application, and the cost is shared with the other users. Software (SaaS) and Cloud Computing put powerful applications at the customer's disposal at minimal cost.

Greater data availability and security:

A company needs to manage its network security, its backup and restore procedures and, in general, its contingency plans in case of data loss or hardware failure.

However, this can be a heavy and tiresome task for companies, since threats are constantly evolving and protection must be updated all the time. Most companies that offer software as a service provide an SLA (service level agreement) tailored to each type of company.

The company focuses its efforts on its business

It consists of outsourcing all the work needed to ensure the proper day-to-day operation of your network. This service makes it possible to optimize your projects through external management by specialized staff, to the point of not having to spend any effort on choosing and maintaining systems.

Agile, fast maintenance via remote connection

Application bugs, errors caused by software conflicts when applications try to work in tandem, are handled directly, and the customer has a fast, professional service dedicated to proactive, administrative, reactive, tuning and support tasks, making it possible to get the most out of the implemented solutions.

Lower maintenance costs

As we mentioned before, you only pay for your use of the application. Besides paying only for what you need, you save on the maintenance costs of the hardware platform and the software required (databases, application server) for your application to run.

We hope these tips have been very helpful. Don't forget to leave us your comments and questions in the box below this post.
