4 STORYTELLING TRICKS THAT DRIVE CLICKS AND ENGAGEMENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA
We already know that content marketing is about telling a story that captures the audience's imagination. This is important both on your blog and on social media. And the best news is that there are simple formulas to help you organize your social media message in the form of a story.
So how do you write a story on social media - even if it's only 140 characters?
Before - After - Bridge
First, describe the current situation. Then, say what it would be like with your product or service. And finally, invite people to find out how to achieve it. This structure works for your website, blog, email, social media, and any other channel you're using. Easy, right?
"Growing your business is hard. Imagine a simple methodology that leads you to growth of up to 25%. Find out how here." (126 characters.)
Problem - Agitate - Solution
This formula is about starting with the problem your audience has. Then, offer a solution to start changing the situation and overcome it. Finally, offer a solution.
"Another month without being able to cover your business expenses? Start the change now and see the results next Q. Find out how!" (130 characters.)
The 5 Objections
When you invite people to discover something new, unfortunately their first reaction is often to think of all the reasons not to do it. Those reasons are usually lack of time, money, relevance, need, and trust. Your job is to counter them all!
"Your best-spent next 30 minutes: 3 quick SEO practices to apply on your website to attract more traffic. Check them out here." (133 characters.)
Secrecy, Exclusivity, Club Membership
One of the biggest problems with a lot of content on social media is that it seems to be desperately trying to reach anyone anywhere in the world. Because of this, your best strategy is to create a sense of exclusivity, which generates a feeling of significant added value.
"Join our newsletter. Tips, news, and conversation you won't find anywhere else." (98 characters.)
I hope these examples have been very helpful! Use them as they are or adapt them to the needs of your business. Don't forget to leave us your comments and questions in the box below this post.
