NEW SOCIAL MEDIA LAUNCHES: INSTAGRAM GALLERIES

Great news for all Instagram users! The new update called Instagram galleries lets us post multiple images in a single post. Gone are the days of having to choose just one image for your Instagram post!

The new update lets Instagram users post up to 10 images or videos in the same post. It is a long-awaited feature, since we have already been seeing similar ads on Instagram for a long time.

Posts with multiple images are marked with an icon as well as small dots below the first image. Each image can be edited separately, or with the same filter simultaneously. All images have to be square, and they will share the same caption.

It is a unique update that undoubtedly moves Instagram toward Facebook's style and type of use, which is a trend we have seen across all social networks. In their attempt to win more users, they may end up losing some of their originality in the process.

At the same time, however, it improves the user experience, for example when it comes to awkward image collages. We users will be delighted, and now it remains to be seen how businesses on Instagram will use it to delight and communicate with their followers.
