[VIDEO] HOW DO YOU USE A CALL TO ACTION (CTA)?
Now that we know how to attract visitors to our website, it's time to convert them into qualified leads. So let's begin with the Conversion stage of the Inbound methodology.
How Do You Use a Call to Action (CTA)?
In today's class, we'll learn how to use calls to action, or CTAs, in the conversion process.
By the end of this class, you'll understand how CTAs fit into a successful conversion process, recognize what an effective call to action looks like, and know how to apply best practices to your own CTAs.
Let's look at why the conversion process is so critical.
Simply put, without a conversion process, you wouldn't have leads. And some of these leads will sooner or later become paying customers.
You're probably thinking: "Yes, I'd love to have some leads! But.. what do you need to do to make this happen?"
Well, a conversion process usually starts with a CTA.
When a visitor clicks a CTA, they're taken to a destination page, or “landing page,” where they fill out a form with their contact information, and that's how they become a lead!

After that, the lead is directed to a “thank-you page,” where they receive the offered content.
So, what exactly is a CTA?
"A CTA is a button that promotes an offer and links to a landing page."
CTAs can be placed on your website pages, your blog, and your emails. Because they trigger the conversion process, they're a critical first step.
We've looked at what a CTA is and the conversion process in general. You should be able to recognize a CTA and understand its role in the conversion process.
