You've surely heard the terms Tofu, Mofu, and Bofu in many places. They are the acronyms that stand for Top, Middle, and Bottom of the funnel - concepts central to the Inbound Marketing methodology. Let's see how to use them in your process of creating valuable content.
Tofu (Top of the funnel) is what we call the first stage of the funnel. This is where you'll want to attract as many visitors as possible, with "broad" content aimed at identifying their needs.
In Mofu, or Middle of the funnel, your visitors have identified their need or challenge, and the goal of your content is to position you as a possible (read: the best) solution to it. To get your leads all the way to the last step, it is important that you have clearly defined the needs of your Buyer Personas.
In this last step, Bofu (Bottom of the funnel), your prospects already know your business and are interested in your products or services. To close them as customers, now is the time to provide personalized and detailed content about the product or service they are interested in.
