TIPS TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS [PART 1]
In the previous post called INBOUND STRATEGY: THE BEST TIPS TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS, we saw some very important tips that will help us generate more visitors to our website and, therefore, we will have more opportunities to win potential customers.
In this post, we will explain each of these tips to attract customers, to show you in a slightly more concrete way how to achieve those goals you have set for your company in the medium and long term.

THE BEST TIPS TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS
We have already seen the tips to attract customers in general terms. Now take a look at the explanation of each of them, so that your Inbound strategy is solid and you can implement it successfully in your company.
These are the steps you should follow and the explanation of each step:
Determine which audience you want to attract (Buyer Persona)
The idea at this point is to represent your ideal customer based on data such as demographic information, customer behavior, motivations, problems, and needs.
We will call that ideal customer your Buyer Persona, who will represent the type of perfectly qualified people you want to find to buy your products or services.
Generally, by managing this information, a company is able to identify different groups of ideal customers. By defining these groups of people with similar interests, you will know exactly what to offer them to win their interest.
For example, if your company sells sportswear, after considering the market demographics you can segment your target audience into groups: women or men, soccer, basketball, or tennis fans, since each of these groups would be interested in different products, offers, and content.
Set SMART goals
Another of the first steps in an effective attraction campaign is setting realistic goals early on. Define smart marketing goals that are:
- Specific. They must define deadlines and numbers to reach. A goal like “have a good year” is too generic and adds nothing to your marketing campaigns.
- Measurable. If you can measure it, you can know whether it worked or not, which is essential to keep improving the attraction strategies of your website.
- Achievable. You know your team's capabilities better than anyone. Be honest and set goals that, although challenging, can be achieved considering possible obstacles and weaknesses. This will allow you to implement strategies that anticipate possible setbacks.
- Relevant. They must benefit your company. For example, there is no point in increasing your product stock if there is no growing demand. The goals you propose must target the needs your business has in order to grow.
Decide what type of content and what topics you are going to create (Buyer Journey)
Since you already know who you are creating content for, you probably have an idea of what interests them, what needs they have to solve that your content can satisfy, and what catches their attention (maybe visual content is more effective, or perhaps your ideal audience prefers videos).
However, you can go beyond just determining the type of content to create by considering the stage your prospects are in. This is what we know as The Buyer Journey, which comprises 3 stages: Awareness, Consideration, and Decision.
Not all potential customers are in the same situation within the buying cycle. We explain the 3 stages a prospect can be in before becoming a customer:
- Awareness. In this stage, the person recognizes a need, a problem, or an opportunity.
- Consideration. Here the person gives relevance to their problem, defining it and looking for a solution.
- Decision. In the decision stage, the person has defined their strategy or method to find the solution.
By focusing your efforts on identifying what stage the target user is in with respect to what your company offers, you will be able to direct your content more effectively to people who will find “just what they need, right when they need it.”
