LANDING PAGES: WHAT ARE THEY AND WHAT ARE THEY FOR?

Landing pages are an essential component of any company's Inbound Marketing tools, since they let you make a specific offer to increase the conversion of website visitors.

It is the place within your website where the moment of truth is defined, when a person stops being a mere visitor to become a subscriber to your email list or a customer of your business.

WHAT LANDING PAGES ARE

A landing page is the page within your website where a visitor “lands” after coming from a call to action in an ad, an email or a promotional banner on your site, so that they take a desired action such as buying, subscribing to a list, downloading a video series or signing up for a webinar.

The landing page is used to receive visitors instead of sending them to the home page.

An effective landing page clearly explains what the visitor will get and how to get it. It has no visible navigation menu, no links to other pages and no other distraction that diverts the visitor from the desired action.

How to Use Landing Pages

Landing pages have various applications depending on your marketing goals and the action you want the visitor to take once they land.

Database Building

Landing pages are a useful tool for building your prospect database. That's because you can place a form on them to collect whatever information you want from your visitors.

Advertising Conversion

Every time you run an advertising campaign, whether online or offline, you should send people to a landing page where they will ideally take the next step and complete the action they are invited to take.

Social Media Traffic

Landing pages are also very useful when you are moving people from your social media to your website for a desired action.

Product Sales

Another popular use of landing pages is to close the sale of a product or service. On that page you can place payment forms, invoice submissions or even links for electronic payments.
